Passage by Rowye Passage by Rowye
Something faster this time (pun quasi intended). Started painting a sketch and then filled it with textures, also wanted to repeat some of the things I learned in my last work but do them more effectively and faster. Still looks a bit more sketchy but part of the mission was to be satisfied with it without spending those extra hours (so that I will get used to work faster and not overthink it).

Dedicated to Wesley-Souza because well, he really is like my guardian angel here. =P

Hahaha Wipeout... it's funny I hadn't even thought about it. ^.^' I keep doing things and people keep telling me what it looks like, and 90% of the times I'm surprised lol... I guess I don't even know what I'm doing. :P

Thank you so much Whendell! :D To tell you the truth, I was inspired by your Desktopography wallpapers to go and try painting the shapes 1st, which I hadn't tried in a long time, so thanks a lot for those WIPs, they helped a lot! :D

Oh good, I'm glad to have inspired you, this is a great technique because it gives more freedom to the creation, rather than be limited to a certain stock, you create the shape and works with stocks inside this shape, another technique that I'm exploring is also the "photobashing" > www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-5lOn… , most used to creating concept art, mixing photos with painting, you know? it's a nice technique too! :D

Yeah, I liked this technique a lot cause I can pretty much draw anything I want (assuming I can haha) and then texture it. :D I had tried this a bit before but never for real to make something from scratch, so this was a big eye opener. :sherlock:
I have barely tried photobashing too, I am not sure how the copyright thing might go with it if it's made as something else than concept art, as these guys are obviously using photos from Google... However, aside of that it's a very tempting and intriguing way to work. :D
